Are there any? Whiteface Mountain is offering this:
At Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid N.Y. We are once again offering ladies days this season. On ladies days all women get free lift tickets (regularly $32.00).
Ladies days are on the 1st Saturday of each month we are open (7-7-07, 8-4-07, 9-1-07 & 10-6-07).
Hopefully Diablo can offer the same. Does anyone know if they have any womens DH clinics. I know they had a Mtbchicks clinic there years ago. It doesn't seem like there are too many women DHers, not to mention womens clinics.

My race budget of enterance fees alone already top a grand. Since i'm coastal NJ, the drive in gas atop of a season pass would put me over the edge. Someone wrote that one must go to Diablo at least 14 times before one actually starts having, "free days." I don't know if that is true, but the Diablo series gives you a lift ticket when registering, so I will probably pay as I play.

At the current price the season pass pays for itself after 8.5 trips. So if you plan on going more than 8 times (not including races) its definitely a good purchase.

if i was to buy a lift ticket every time i went i would be in debt. oh and a lift ticket is around 30. SO if you go 8.5 times as dom had said it pays off.

I don't go 8.5 times.

3 open weekends between April 7th (first race) and Oct 27th (last race) Weekends are filled with races, rides, TM, and vacation dates. So, if my boss asks me to work on Saturday he is SOL. I'm having fun! If I lived closer for afterwork rides,..I'd buy a season pass, but I'm coastal NJ.

I'd love to see some ladies days at Diablo too. Let's get some more chicks riding on the east coast! NJ Jess -- I know your pain. Race fees and booked weekends aren't going to allow me to get to Diablo 5 times let alone 8-9 :(

I hope to ride Diablo 5 times, but not sure of the schedule, work, yadda yadda. I just reg for Duryea on May 5 and 6, I hope to go to Dablo on May 13th, and then the May 20 race. However, I also have the Highbridge XC and the Bloomin Metric 100km road on the same day. I probably should go to Diablo on May 20th since I already signed up for the US Open, but it's not the same track,...would I be wasting my time,...money?

have ladies days and they are still open for business. As far as I was informed,..Diablo makes more money than the two of them combined. How many women do you see out on the trails?...5 -10? How much does Diablo make in a day? More than Whiteface and Plattekill,...gee if more women got into the sport perhaps they would let their boyfriends, husbands, and even their kids go more often. Are you married shannon1031? Does your S.O. let you go ALL the time you want? It takes me 3 hours drive to get to Diablo, do you know how much gas money that is. Remember, I then have to drive 3 hours home. Six hours in a car, dude. Just to ride a bike.

as far as the season pass goes... i did one for both platty and diablo. mostly for racing, but i did a ton of non-race weekends too. i barely broke even. i'm not doing season passes at all this year, but i'm focusing on racing this year. and yea, the ladies day is a good idea. mike's got some good ideas for whiteface, and he's getting a lot more support to do things than one would think (at least it surprised me). only mountain on the EC open 7 days a week for the majority of the season (but i'm not sure of diablos schedule this year... this was based on last year).
and Jess: DH racing > road racing. I kinda lucked out with where I'm currently living. 4 hrs from both platty and diablo, 3 to mt snow (i'm now planning on doing the Ironhorse Series as well) and i'm doing the majority of the GES. I've got 22 races on my schedule this season.

Last I checked it was Diablo Freeride Park. So any day there is a freeride day.
this is my 4th year in a row getting a season pass and I have gone 20x or better each past season, so I have had lots of free days. Only thing that sux is the price of season passes keeps going up. The first season I bought a pass it was $189 during presale. Ya think you would get some sort of bone for loyal customers?!

$300 is pretty reasonable, where else has a lift that fast, trail crew, and all the custom built wooden features. Besides if you can spend 2k on a bike $300 is not that much.

It's not bad but they should still have the 5-day pass like they used to. Also there should be a discount if you have a season pass and buy a season pass for the next season. If you buy the pass in Oct you get all of Oct free but that only helps if you are a new pass buyer.
