Has anyone had any experience with a package deal like this?
The second lens looks pretty kickass

The second lens is going to be okay for very casual use. However, it's a very cheaply built lens and is not going to take great pictures, especially at the long end of the zoom.
Don't know anything about the shop, and I haven't looked at separate pricing for the second lens so I don't know how good a deal it is, especially up there in America Jr. ;)
What's that in real money?

Lesson 1 - don't buy camera gear at futureshop/best buy/dumoulin.
Lesson 2 - call me and i will sort you out and send you to decent stores locally.
Lesson 3 - buy from BH and pay the taxes. It'll be way cheaper in the long run.

Has he finally decided to move out to the land of manicured lawns and soccer moms, or is he staying put where you'll get mugged for your bag of groceries?
