I'll be in Tucson in a couple of weeks visiting some family. I'm going to bum my father's road bike while I'm there and enjoy some of the good weather. I've been hip deep in snow back here on the east coast for the last 3 months so I'll likely be DAMN slow, but if anyone is interested in joining me for a ride March 20-22 I'd love the company.

Anyone interested?

Have fun. There's a great 9000 foot hill climb right from town.

Other than that, the road scene was great there when I grew up in the 80s - 90s. I'm jealous waiting for the trails to dry out here on the East Coast. Tucson makes a great Winter destination for cycling.

Are you only going to ride road? There are some kick butt trails out here too. I wish I could join you but I'm working and wouldn't be able to meet you. But I hope you have fun!

If you want I can put out a call to my local mountain biking club, SDMB (www.sdmb.org... website designed by yours truly). There are usually some folks who have free time during the week.

Yea, road only... but even that looks questionable due to some unforseen complications in getting my gear out here.

My parents live in Tucson, and though I haven't brought my bike out there yet, I will hopefully next time. I'll have to hit you folks up when I get out there...
