I'm interested in getting a splitail to use as a 4-cross bike. As far as I can tell zedsport.com is pretty much the only place to get one. I sent an email to the email address listed there 2 weeks ago without a response. Pricepoint has only medium frames.
Anyone know what's up with zedsport or where else to get a splitail?
I'm interested in feedback on this frame as well, if you have any to give.
thanks

It's too bad there aren't any planet x dealers in the US.
I bought a road bike through zedsport and it ended up being not such a great deal. By the time you figure in shipping, the price sucked.
Service was mediocre

Wow, lucky you, each time i have tried to deal with them it sucked. Slow replies, no quotes for shipping etc etc.
there is a shop in seattle that has them www.unrealcycles.com they had them on ebay in the $600 range or so.

what e-mail addy did you use? Peter is usually pretty good about getting back to customers.
Unreal is now owned by Peter's son Lewis - I wouldn't hesitate giving them business. so if you want one...go to www.unrealcycles.com
The Splitail is a fun little bike...here is my splitty:

the split tail is by far the sickest 4x/ds bike in the WORLD! I bought one from a buddy who rode for planet x which is probably your best bet. I know they were selling ryans old one at velo swap. They are in the half moon bay area give them a call they might still have it.

I was thinking about getting a splitail at the end of last year. I called zedsport probably 3 times, every single time someone picked up the phone and was very helpful, they told me more than I wanted to know.
The one thing they told me was that the splitail was being redesigned with a VPP type suspension and front derailleur so if I liked the current design I should probably get one soon. I don't know what the status is for all that, but it's something to think about. I haven't seen anything so maybe they abandoned that idea.

rosenamedpoop: I carry extra links in case I need to chainwhip smart a$$es at the park.
How would that bike be for a dirt jumper? I am getting old and am eyeing up the transition double. The split tail is lighter and less expensive though.

What is the head angle in the slackest position? www.zedsport.com lists it at 71 which way too steep for a 4X bike.
