Laptop help . . . screen failure

I need some help with a Toshiba Satellite a105-s2712 laptop. I having trouble with the screen flicking and then going completely blank/balck. I can resolve the issue if I close the screen, wait a few minutes, and open it up again. The computer is beyond the warranty period. I did some quick searches and maybe it's the Inverter? Easy to replace? Cost? Thanks for the help.

the problem with inveverts in laptops ( or just about any part in a laptop ) is for the most part they are custom jobs to fit in a spot that they were designed around.

that said I have a Few dozen in my basement.
