Why do injured troops have to have inspections? This government is so freaking sad.

If they can prepare for inspection, they should be in the field.

no one in the military is allowed to speak to the press, to include hospitalized baby killers; that's the public affair's job.

In general, soldiers can speak to the press, but really arent supposed to speak about policy in any way. What you are allowed to say about policy is usually disseminated via command messages like "We're happy to be here helping the Iraqi people" or "It's my duty to serve and Im proud to protect my country" or something to that effect. Complaining about facilities, be they military or medical, is a big no-no. I understand why it's a rule, but it sickens me the situation at Walter Reed.
As for inspections and all that stuff. That's just the military. That's what they do.

So how long until they court martial someone for not saluting?
"But my arms were blown off!"
"Shut up soldier. Now drop and give me 20!"

That's a good start (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17402872/).that's unbelievably fast. it tooks months for karpinski (of abu ghraib fame) to be let go, but then again, that was due to mistreatment of browns. i'm sure that had nothing to do w/ it.

I'm happy I got out
and I have all my limbs
and I have a big mouth
I did visit Walter Reed while I lived in the area.
The funny thing about visiting there is the fact that you have to have an appointment (ok, not a prob), but the only people you can get in with are flag waving sunshine up your butt republicans. Thought that was kind of odd.....

Now W has ordered a review of all military facilities. As if there is a budget to fix anything once it's found.

You assume they perceived anything to be broken.
