I had those thing installed before....the incident. But with the upgrades to McAfee and IE7 and all.... Are they sufficient? Or should I buy Spybot S&D?

Download Windows Defender, it's free and does a good job of spyware protection.

Yes, and so is Adaware and Defender.
Defender does it's thing in silence though. You almost never know it's there and you don't have to babysit it.

I've been using Webroot's Spysweeper ($29/yr) and it still catches stuff that falls through IE7 and McAfees cracks. It's worked better than all the free one's too like AdAware and Spybot.
