They're nice bikes, but you're going to have a hard time getting over the Mongoose stigma. I know the feeling, I got burned when I sold a near-new GT frame a couple years ago.

How did you like that bike? I checked them out on the Mongoose site, they seem to be really well speced for the price. would you stay on it if you didn't have to switch?

HELL YES. I love the bike, but I'm on a team riding Scott bikes. It is an awsome bike. This is seriously one of the few bikes I can say that can do everything from FR to world cup DH. You can run a front der. for the off season then run single ring and the bike has great geo for racing. I'm going to stop talking before i get sad and decide to keep it as a "back up"
