O'haul on a 2004 Monster T?

Alrighty, so this is one fork I have never torn apart before. Any tips?

make sure you have the special vice tool from marzocchi.

special vice tool? Could you be a little moste specific?

it is a little tool that goes into a vice and allows you to hold the piston shaft from turning when you take the top caps off of the pistons.

I see. How about just for taking off the lowers to begin with?

as far as i understand you can't do anything without taking the top caps off the pistons. the lowers wont come off and once you empty the oil out you can't refill it accurately with the top caps still on. maybe someone else can chime in and get another pov on this.

Probably the best bet would be go the Marzocchi site, and pull down instructions from before 2003. I believe 2002 was the last year they gave detailed instructions how to disassemble and rebuild their forks.
