Getting a laptop for work via Fedex. I negotiated new rates on the account at work and got a dell credit for a new system, scale, etc.

Now I can hang outside on the patio at work and I won't have to huff the AC air and listen to the senseless babble of salesmen. I can take it home for work too.

Dell D620 Core Duo 1.66GHz
Nvidia Quadro NVS 110M
1gb RAM
Bluetooth
Intel 3945 dual band wifi
14.1 inch WXGA+ (wide screen)
CDRW/DVD
XP Pro

The choices they give you for the Fedex program are really limited, basically it was this machine or a nerfed Optiplex desktop.


Not bad for free though.

Core duos are fun toys, i wouldn't worry about it. Seems like a good solid machine.

IBM/Lenovo would have been my first choice, I like the Thinkpads.

I just got the same one a month ago from work. It replaced a SONY that was 5 years old.

The thing finally showed.

I'm sitting in my truck about 1/4 mile away from work eating a sammich and surfing RM on the company wireless that I installed.
