You must be building a unicycle? You might want a saddle instead of the handlebars.
I gave up trying to read people's minds. Just what frame are you getting?

haha is creepy on how close they resemble each other. by no means was i trying to copy you. it must just be the idea setup for this bike. but your sparked my idea to build one. i had been looking at the frame since its initial design stages and even inputted some item i would like to see. when i saw your i know that i also had to get one.

q for you sluggman. if looks like you have a 12mm axle setup there. do you get any rock in the disc mount? i has a little but i'm also using a qr. though the qr setup in temporary. also what hub do you have on the back of that thing?

also for the others. the reason there is no front brake is because i'm still deciding on which brake to use and i had that one just lying around so i used it.

Yup it is a 12mm thru, and once I tighten that bolt - that brake is SOLID.

I have had an issue with nailing the rear and the drop outs move a bit. I think the adjustments can looses when riding and then if you smack it hard enough, one side will move before the other. So far it's only happened a couple times and was so minor that I barely noticed it.

cool. good info to know. looks like i need to save up some money for that hub then.

Just out of curiosity, and feel free to color me skeptical,
but wouldn't some skinnier tires with less tread be better for acceleration, and make it easier to begin tricks on take-off?

thanks for the comments. i'm glad to be back on a hardtail for the big stuff again. i never felt right on any fully i had in the past (though the preston was best).

short bus you still in the dc area?

also to dirt merch. yes a smaller tire is better at accelerating and tricks and what not but i'm a big guy not really looking to do tricks or anything like that to be honest. also because of my size the bigger tires are not slowing me down at all. though i would not mind to do x-ups. the reason i ride a hardtail is because i just plain like them better.

also the tires are 2.5" not 2.7"
