So im trying to compile a list of reccomended bike shops that have a good selection of Freeride bikes/components. This can be either online, or a local bike shop near you. Please state where the shop is (if its a local shop) and/or a link if its an online store. Please also state WHY you have reccomended a website/shop, whether it be customer service, quick delivery, cheap prices, good stock/selection, ease-of-use of their website, etc...
Muchos gracias

The DropNZone in Ferndale, Washington. The owner's name is Allen and he also does online and phone orders. I live in California, so a ways away from him, but his service, delivery time, prices and mechanic skills are the best I can find. I have gotten numerous complements from the wheelbuilding gurus out here about the wheelset he built me, some of them saying it is one of the best build wheelsets they have ever seen. He is very easy on changing around parts and can get almost anything. His prices are also amazingly good for a small shop, and when building a bike, he often doesn't charge for shipping and the bike takes a week maximum to arrive. I can't express how impressed I am with the DropNZone.

The best and local freeride shop is your local bike shop!!! When you buy online you pay first, if you do the same at a local bike shop you'll get the same part and probably a cheaper price because it only costs the owner a phone call. Then if you have a question or problem, you just go back down the street to the same shop.
It always amazes me how riders send their money out of their towns and then bitch about lack of local sponsors, quality shops and have no political voice. Riders need to realize the economics of our sport, which is local PHYSICAL shops pay taxes in your township, employ riders in your township, will likely sponsor customers who ride in your township and are members of the chamber of commerce in your township. By sending your money out of your community, you are weakening your own economy and cycling scene.

I third DNZ (Drop In Zone). Those guys rock. I have never heard anything bad about them.
As for big online distributors, I like to go with jensonusa.com, wheelworld.com, performancebike.com, or greenfishcycles.com.

Thanks guys, keep them coming!
Clark Tire in Hickory, NC
really good guys that ALWAYS help everyone out. From ppl just walking by that need a tire pumped up...to hardcore riders that know EXACTLY what they want.
they help out a lot of local events, and are a VERY supported shop by all the local forums ( www.bikePASA.com www.da-drop.com www.hickhucksters.com )
they carry a LOT of transition frames, haro's, and giants....they also carry (buh) road bikes by felt, giant, and some others.

Another vote for dropnzone, allen will set you up good!
Germantown Cycles (http://www.germantowncycles.com/) in Germantown, Maryland.
They keep in stock every frame, fork and component a freerider or downhill rider would drool over. And the shop makes you feel welcome when you're there and the service is great.
I called up another shop one time to ask if they could fix something that had gone wrong with my bike and he the worker said, "Uh, yeah probably. We don't work on those types of bikes too much but bring it in and we'll give it a try". Next I called Germantown and they said "Oh sure man - we've got the part here in the store and can fix it right up." Confidence in a mechanic is a great thing!
I think someone who works there posts here too.

i've got even more reason to praise allen(dropnzone owner) now! here's my story:
i put my 2007 yeti dj on order through allen in early december. i'm very excited. word is that it will come out in late december. nope, moved to early january. nope, moved to mid-january. finally, i call yeti. they say that if i ordered early enough in advance, i'll get the bike in 2 weeks. otherwise, it is a 6 week wait for the second batch of frames. i'm pissed because then they tell me that i'm right on the borderline and that there is a possibility that after waiting for a month after the expected arrival, i still won't be getting my bike for another 6 weeks. so, i go off to bootleg canyon yesterday, come back today, and allen has left me a present in my email inbox. being the magical guy that he is, he is expecting a frame to appear at his shop to be built not in 6 weeks, not 2 weeks, but 2 days!!! before they are even supposed to be shipped, i'll have a bike in my garage! allen, you deserve a whole keg of beer for that.
