I'm looking to re-build my SS. The frame doesn't fit me well and I want to upgrade to discs. What is a good, inexpensive frame? I have no price point yet, I'm just starting to look. The frame HAS to be available in any shade of blue.

Kona Unit, ssteel!
Quo - so it has to be blue?
Keep an eye out for Chameleons on ebay. Or perhaps you can get a Performance Cycle Accesss hardtail and go that route. You might even be able to run it without a tensioner with a special gear ratio.

Yes, it has to be blue, and I forgot to mention that I want steel.

Nashbar has a blue steel frame for really short bucks and I'm thinking of getting it.
Quo - if you find a great deal on a non-blue steel frame, I know of a Powdercoater in Waterbury, CT that will strip and powdercoat for about $100 for a hardtail - maybe even more like $75.00
Just a thought.
