I just bought a used Evil D.O.C. frame and I am looking for a fork for it. I'd like something with about 100mm of travel, a 20mm axle and reasonable weight. I will mostly be dirt jumping on the bike, with some street/park and slalom/4x mixed in here and there. I've looked into both the Manitou Gold Label and the Rock Shox Pike 409 (06 air w/ u-turn).

Anyone have any experience with either of these or any other suggestions?

Sub $500 would also be a psuedo-requirement.
Thanks for the help.

I've had my Gold Label for a bit. It's rad. Super light and takes some abuse... even though I ride smoother than butter.

Reliable & not too heavy. The original freeride fork.
