Cool ride man.
I have a new 2005 Banshee Scratch frame i'm selling to get a FS Downhill frame .
Although lot's of Canadian riders rock a hardtail on very narly north shore trails.. I know i could ride my Banshee Scratch with my BOXXER World Cup fork at Windrock--but it would spike my ankles bad. I know cause i did on a Heckler with 5.6" o' travel on Snake rock which is the easier trail of them all.. You would pretty much have to putt down slowly on a hardtail there. Pinchflat city too !
I would go to Bigfoot on your ride .
It looks great. Sweet dropouts!

Im pretty bummed about windrock, but the way I see it is that a well built imperial would be successful on 90% of the trails in the mid-atlantic. Ive had two 7" fullys in the past and they were overkill for most of the suff I ride in MD and down at clemson.

Hey, i saw the Windrock video post PROFRO offered to show you the Windrock trails in the spring ..Cool man !
Yeah, i am really thinking bout building the Banshee Scratch now, especially after reading the IRONHORSE SUNDAY tuning thread !!!
I say at least give the scratch a try, I rode three hardtails in highschool then I had 3 fullys in a row and now I went back to a Hardtail and i couldnt be happier. When i was riding 7inch freeride bikes I really wasnt getting any better as a rider because the suspension was allowing me to be lazy and it would make up for my mistakes. I can definently say that since switching back to a hardtail Ive been getting better as a rider.

Well.. what the h*ll is it? J/k, it's a Banshee Scratch? The guys at the bikeshop tried to sell me a Scirocco frame on sale, 350$. Looked pretty sweet, but I wanted something with adjustable wheelbase- I didn't see that dropout on the 'rocco. That seat tube angle is intense, what post is that?

Thanks! It took me a while to find a Imperial that wasnt in Canada, and i did a good bit of searching to find the parts I wanted. I would say its about 90% complete, Id like to upgrade the seat, seatpost and tires soon.

thats no way to get a nice bike/dream bike. Im 15, cant work till 16...and I have put over $2000 into my bighit. Its all about priorities. And I personally cant wait until I can work so I can afford nicer/more bikes.

gents, here's the attitude to have. i'm 16 and got my yeti asx back when i was 15, but i have never really had a real job yet. i do tons of yard work in the mountains and i have done a bunch of around the house projects for my parents, and although it isn't a real job, it still pays enough for me to build out my bikes. over the summer i did 39 hours of yard work at my mountain house, and much more stuff back at my real house. i have also done projects for neighbors and friends that want to get their bikes working again. there are a lot of older people i know that want to ride their bikes again, so i fix them up for them for less than a shop would, but still make a really nice profit. this summer i'm going to be working at a bike shop, and i can't wait. school and after school sports makes work impossible during the school year, but once summer comes, i'm going to be working my a$$ off. bikes are worth it.
