What's the difference between 2014 T6 aluminum and 7075 T6?

difference in chemical composition of the alloy and its properties. 7000 series aluminum alloys are much stronger than 2000 series.

Actually if the 2014 aluminum is T-6 and 7005 is also T-6 then the 2014 is actually much stronger.
T-6 2014 has a tensile strength of 70,000 psi where T-6 7005 has a tensile strength of 51,000 psi

The yeild strength is also about 20,000 psi difference 60,000 for 2014 vs. 42,000 for 7005

Hope that helps

Not 7005, but 7075.

Sorry misread....the 7075 tensile strength is about 82,700 psi and yeild strength is 73,200 psi

So the 7075 is stronger than the 2014.
