I've got a Pistle chain and I can't figure out how to connect the chain once I've got it cut to length.

It came with a bag w/ an extra pin with a clip to secure it, but the clip is really long and it doesn't seem right.

What do I do? I kinda need answers fast to finish my build.

Thanks!

i installed mine like a regular chain, press out and press in the pin.. although my half link came with a special pin and and cotter pin deal that you slide through and bend to keep the main pin from sliding out. i managed with a regular chain tool, but people say you should use a special park chain tool for heavy duty bmx chains that handle the extra width of the half link chain

Yeah, after a bit of swearing I figured out it was a cotter pin; I thought at first you slid it through without bending the little tabs apart. Thanks for your help though!

Don't you work at a bike shop?

Yes, but we more or less NEVER see DJ/DH stuff which means I get to figure out everything in that realm w/o help.

We do mainly Huffy repair crap, some XC, and a lot of road.
