Outdoor stores in Thousand Oaks area?

Not bike related but web searching isn't getting me anywhere. Just looking for a backpacking store in the Thousand Oaks area that has good people.

Sport Chalet on Moorpark Rd (Janss), Borealis by Mervins in the Janss mall, that's about it. Or REI in Northridge.

Thanks for the reply. I went to the Borealis store and they were very helpful. A cute women there helped me get some new boots, told me of places to go, and set me up with a schedule of some upcoming events. The service you get at independent stores like that make any difference in prices worth it.
