Anyone run one? I like the way they look and I was thinking about throwning a couple on my dual drive Kona A just for the hell of it. Any reason I shouldn't?
:imstupid:
Go for it and send me one of your non half link SS chains. :)

They do look cool. The only cons are they're heavier and expensive.

Stronger and easier to get dialed in on a singlespeed.
A lot of bmxers run 'em.

They are super strong, you need park's bmx chain tool which has greater room for the link (width).

Stronger, yes, but no easier than dialing in any chain with a single half-link.

I'm trying to talk myself into unnecessary purchases. You're not helping.

Oh, my bad. I forgot to put this in my last post:
I hear they'll make you faster and get you laid more often. They also fix erectile dysfunction, receding hairlines, and prevent STDs.

I think I've got a slightly used SRAM 8 speed chain that I can make due with if it is long enough (it should be)
I run one of those shadow 1/2 link chains on my DJ/street/park bike and they are super durable but I did notice that mine streched out quite a bit within the first couple or rides. So much so that I was able to take off another link and keep my wheel/CS length almost the same.
After the initial strech and readjustment of brake pads it seems to have stayed put and I have been beating on it for a year with zero problems.
The only reason you shouldnt put it on your wacky dual-drive bike is weight, (if that is a concern). They are about 2X the weight of most standard 1/8" SS chains . . .
