Just had to do some processing for a mag and found this image. Love it. Your 2006 downhill world champ. Eye of the tiger?

Wow, that's a great shot! He looks focused, but totally calm at the same time- pretty much exactly where you want to be.

When you win worlds by 3 seconds, you can comment on his choice of clothing.

That your shot Fraser? It's quite good. Perfect exposure. Post up some shooting metadata. 1 or 2 flash? Distance?

Ya, one of mine from worlds. thanks :)
3 flash. Shot at about 25 ft, 200mm if I recall. Woulda preferred to balance the ambient a little bit better, but it was dark as hell in those woods. Friggin New Zealand Jungle!
1 flash in front about 10ft up a tree for lighting under the visor, one off to the right and slightly in front of him and one behind and below for rim lighting. The one behind needed more power, I didn't get enough BG seperation. I was pretty much cooked by that point in the day, however, so didn't notice.
i never ever knew that he ran his brakes backwards too. wow.
I believe its you who runs you brakes backwards. The rest of the world, us included runs our brakes like that. Silly americans...
Nice shot by the way...!

Lycra is lame even when Nico ran it you know what I mean. Cool shot looks real good. But he does get extra points for running Flats and not clipping in!

Just a ? I would think all that flash would blind the riders. Do they have rules on how many flashes you can pop when a rider flys by. If not have you ever been confronted by riders because of it. Awsome photo, just awsome. Love the look of SH's eyes. The fox ad with the Yeti rider coming of the stairs at some urban race was my fovorite this year and this shot is up there with it.
Mike.

They won't ever see the flashes if they are placed right, they have way more things going on to worry about.
An electronic flash goes off in 1 / 10 000th of a second. Unless it's exactly eye level, and focused out to their distance, in the pitch dark, and pretty damn close to them to boot, they won't even realize it went off.
Also, thanks. That other shot is Gary's I believe (Flipper) and was shot at the Lisbon Redbull event.

Not correct its the UK and Australia that runs breaks moto style the rest of Europe and US runs them non-moto

Sick pic. As in, seriously f'n awesome.
On a mostly unrelated note - where's Stikman? Anyone else remember his prediction (which was made last year or the year before) that nobody would ever win the worlds on flat pedals?

what's most surprising about his win is the way he started the year off at Sea Otter. Didn't even make a blip on the radar there. Yet on a pedaling course at the end of the year, he cracked skulls. (sorry for the skull cracking reference...just watched Breakfast club scene yesterday...needed to use that line in some form)

Maybe, but I think you forgot his 2nd place at the Oceania Championships last march on the same course as the World Champs.

Why pin it at a race with no points, no cash, and no special status? The rainbow stripes are bigger bragging rights by far.

Ah I was asking if anyone had any info on Sam's bars... Funn has them on their website now though.
Great shot - be better if it suited a widescreen laptop screen for a background though

I thought Hill's bars were supposed to be around 730mm. Apparently they bagged that idea.
