The shop employees and friends got together last night for a little Halloween celebration, and to break in the shop teams newest sponsor, FootHills Brewery.
There were no rules, no entry fees, and no course marshals. Cheating was very much encouraged and the course was "open to interpretation. Some half-asseres showed up on cross bikes but the real hardcore got a little more creative, tandems, sting rays, recumbents, choppers, and bmx cruisers all were utilized for a cut throat 5 lap race through Hanes Park, beggining with a le mans style start complete with spiral staircase and treacherous road crossing. It was quite a dirty race complete with brake grabbing, kicking, performance enhancing substances and rampant corner cutting and lap skipping. In the end Chris "my thong has a heart on it" won, and was rewarded by several cups of beer (poured onto his head from 20 feet up on the veranda.) It was very much an underground event, but we managed to snap a few pics.
Me (typical Walmart shopper) and Charles (honestly if you dont know, you won't understand) get tuff.

This chopper literally hasnt left the shop wall since we opened. Until tonight. What else would the typical Walmart shopper ride? She handled like a champ except on turns with a radius of less than 75 feet.
