Just got building the bulk of my newly single speeded bike. Built the wheel, put the heinous pink chain on, and stripped the shifters and deralieurs (so gratifying). New crank, fork, bars and stem comming next week, but until then I'm going to bask in my stoke.

And if you were wondering it's a 97'ish Gary Fisher Tassajara sporting a White Industries eccentric ENO hub and a "I'm a freaking idiot for spending that much" White Industries freewheel.

Try a wide riser bar !! You will love it !
That looks like my first SS & i loved it. It was a Mongoose something with 180mm Kooka anodized cranks & Rock Shox 80mm fork.
