Waldo Ride

This ride always impresses me. Waldo Lake, just southwest of Bend a bit claims to be one of the purist lakes in the world. It's scooped out by ancient galciers, covers 10 miles, and sits at 5400'. The trail around the lake is a tad over 20 miles but we parked further away and added about 7 miles on. It's all singletrack, and all totally fun...not just a flat path around a lake. It's ranked intermediate because of a lot of little rooty, steep, rocky sections.

Beautiful lake. Really cool that Oregon has 2 lakes that blue (the other is Crater Lake).

No, it was from a forest fire at least 4 years ago.
