does any of you monkes have the specs that an astm helmet should meet?
if you do, could you post the most important ones here? :happydance:

AFAIK, it's an old standard the ASTM had for moto helmets, BUT they don't require third-party certification, so you kind of have to take it with a grain of salt.

You can get the document, developed by ASTM's F08.53 subcommittee straight from ASTM here:

The caveat is that the three-page PDF will cost you $29 to download. But it IS the official, full documentation of the standard.

The Bicycle Helmet Safety Institute (BHSI) is an excellent resource.

But as far as standards documentation, they refer straight to ASTM.
