I've also kinda wondered why god would need to rest after creating stuff too.

Well, we measure a day as the sun going around the earth once. Isn't God above us all and therefore living in his OWN days? Maybe a day for him is something like 140 billion years (:cough: evolution... :cough: ) :biggrin:

Maybe we're still in the seventh day?

It took six days because 1. you can't rush perfection and 2. God doesn't have some micromanaging tool looking over his shoulder and cracking the whip to "hurry up and finish already". :biggrin:
