So who else is marooned on this island with me? I need to hook up with some trail riders. My injuries are getting better and I no longer look like a 2 year old on a bike.....so I need to find the hot spots...D

Dude, I totally forgot you're up there! How are things on the island?
What are you doing these days? Hopefully be up there in the next couple of months, not 100% on when though...

Sorry missed this. It's raining alot right now and it's a lot colder than So Cal. but I'm adapting fine. I'm just waiting for my immigration status to clear so I can start working. I haven't been working since July!!....D

Will hopefully be up soon after the new year, I'll know more as it happens. Just moved again though, not to Victoria, yet. I still know that I will end up there eventually, I'm totally in love with that town.
Cold I can deal with no problem, I'm originally from Montreal, so Victoria is like summer compared to that.
How is it up there so far?

Any of you ride Hornby Island? I rode there about 14 years ago and it was some of the best riding I've ever done. Stayed at the Horseshoe Bay campground and ate at Vorizo's every night. The only trail name I can recall is "Devil's Kitchen". Some local kids showed us around and completely schooled us but it was a blast.
Are those trails still out there?

i don't live on in the island, but i spend any where forn 2-4 weeks up in Tahsis every summer fishing. last year i was trying to find some places to ride, but didn't have any idea. so if i come up, this year (depending on college) we should hook up, and you guys can show me the hot spots

funky laidback place with a fun trail network. they used to have some great races there years ago. nice beaches (tribune) as well. great place to spend a chill weekend.

Hey, where are you on the Island? I'm in Nanaimo. We ride xc style and usually ride 2-3 times a week.
