I know some people really love those Rogue beers but not me. I had some one with jalapenos or other some pepper in it. Not only was it hard to drink but it gave me a good dose of the flaming pooze the next day. Never again.

Never tried that one. I have thought about it, but I don't want flaming pooze.

The Rogue Dead Guy is my new favorite beer of the moment.

Mm... I bought a case of that for my Halloween Party last year. It was 'ok'... far from my fav tho. I do not like Rogue Porter... I like Sierra Nevada over it and Fullers London Porter over the SN.

Right now I have in my frig:

Red Hook IPA - damn yummy!
Fullers London Porter
Sierra Nevada Porter
Sol
Wood Chuck Hard Cider
some home brews

I've never tasted a "chile" beer that was worth a $hit. I think that chile is a flavor that was not supposed to be put in beer.

Oh no - jalapeno jelly can be the nectar of the Gods. We had it with the bison eggs at this place last spring:

I agree! Chili belongs in burritos. Beer is there so I can cool down the fire while eating said burito.

Say, does anyone know... does Rogue still make the Shakspeare Stout? Only saw it a few times, but I thought it was pretty good. Dead Guy rawks!

I haven't had that one, but I've had the Cave Creek Chili Beer. Like rauchbiers, they are amusing to drink for novelty's sake but not at all refreshing or tasty like beer should be.

Their Dead Guy is my fave too. What's up with George Cloony look-a-like on their labels?

How about bacon?

Can you believe I have no beer in the house? Ugh.

My wife went out with a friend to Cherry Creek tonight and brought back a sixer:

I like Flying Dog more than Great Divide -- for local beers.

But very nice of the wife :)

Flying Dog Doggie Style pale is pretty decent. Their IPA sucks donkey balls, though. I had one last night.

I so agree. Hot chiles should be washed down with good beer, not an integral part of a lousy beer.

Beer's OK with hot chiles, but margaritas are better. :D

Heads up to the Dead Guy fans out there, it's $6.99 for a sixer at Trader Joes, and has been for a few months, and if tequila is your thing I just picked up a bottle of Patron Silver for $40.
