View Full Version : worlds update
well i made it up here and the track is prime for 29's
fast with huge brakebumps and very few rock.
lots of moondust for my motoraptors to cut thru.
i did 5 runs flatting my last b/c i dropped into a rut full
of dislodged rocks. I have two slit tubes covering my
29 tube 1 road thorn proof anf one reg 29.
i am running up to 50 psi and want to use the rear too even
though i got my 26's jic.
every one is psiked on the 29's. people are very ancious
to see it come in for DH.
i race tomorrow @ 4pm ish.

I think that must be the next class or more up due to the grey hair? None of those guys is Alex.
Great job Alex.

all those masters look alike, don't they? ;)
yeah, there wasn't any info w/ the podium photos, so i just guessed. apparently wrong.

looks like alex came in 18th, about 20 seconds down from the leader in his age group.
thanks guys,
i went over a berm in my final lost 5 secs. the times were super close
back where i was. i would have gained like 10 places!
i had fun and only flatted once, then i wraped my tube in two other tubes and ran 50 psi. the track only had one flat corner so knobs
were not needed.
my rampages never made it, but i was ok. lots of people checked out
the bike. even XC guys were baffled. lol.
My final i was just off and lacked concentration. ? it happens. that and
there were like 10+ new fast guys there.
i have lots of video but NONE of me.

Still glad you made it up there Alex and represented. Hope you had fun also. Next year you'll still be a master, that's how it works getting old:disgust:
Way to go Alex - keep pushing the 29er DH concept forward.

Great riding! Next year will be different...
-Dedicated 29" BCD frame with more travel?
-Much bigger tires (would the Weirwolf 2.55 940g have worked there?)
-Lots of prior riding on the biggies!
-Hopefully for you, not more riders on big bikes...
