I've got a DVD (with video_ts/audio_ts folders) that I need converted to web-friendly formats.

I've downloaded a couple pieces of software that offer free trails, but they haven't worked out. Can anyone recommend some good, free software for doing video conversion? This is a one-time deal so a free trial would work too.

Or, if anyone is feeling particularly generous and could do the conversion for me, I have the files on-line and ready for download.

Thanks.

http://www.radgametools.com/smkdown.htm

This should work, download the first one (The RAD video tools), it's free. However I've never tried it with entire movies before, I've just used it for shorter stuff. So I'm not positive that it will work for converting a DVD, but it's worth a shot.

Hope it works for you.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. The DVD is only about 9 minutes long (it's basically a promotional video that we use), so we'll see...

Did that program work for your converting needs?
