I'm in the market for some riding pants. Something thats gonna be durable and conforatable without being too hot. Basically for downhill/resort riding and freeriding. Not any kind of all day pedaling XC stuff so it doesn't need to be super cool or anything. I have a pair of Fox Huck pants right now, their alright. I should have gotten a bigger size though. Also, I'd prefer pants that don't taper down too far at the ankle cause they feel uncomforatable and if the inside is soft and comforatable too, that would be good. I'm looking at the Azonic freeride pants right now, but I haven't seen a pair in person. Thanks for any help!

Azonics FR are nice, but a bit heavy. I have the Oneal Camo version, and my bro has the Azonic Free rides. Both are pretty sweet for taking abuse, but they are pretty heavy duty. The nice thing is that the legs come off to be used as shorts as well. The zipper kind of sux though, since it tends to hit you on the leg more than I would like.
I have some Roaches that are pretty nice, but haven't had a chance to wear them on the trail yet due to the hot weather. They look pretty durable, and feel lighter than the Azonics.

Cool. Thanks for the suggestions. Where did you get the Roaches?

Roach was bought by Raceface a couple of years ago. Take a look on the raceface site.

I like the Sette pants over on Price Point. They're cheap, stand up to a lot of abuse, and when they're done at $14 a pair you don't feel bad about chucking them.

Save some money and buy a good pair of jean shorts. Comfortable, cheap, cool.
