I met this guy at the Deer Valley Norba race who wanted a commissioned artwork done. I making a website devoted to the progression of the piece (the piece is still in it's early stages, but it's kind of cool to see the evolution I think):

It's been about a month or so and I'm just about done with Thom. I'm really diggin' the layered effect on the rocks...it makes me think of all the secret nooks and tucked-away places that you can't get to unless you are on a bike :)

That's really cool. That's oil right?
I have only done one bike related painting (i'm really not sure why). Next time I paint, I'm going to do a bike one.

Here is the one I did: http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/mtnbrider/graphics/My%20Paintings/?action=view&current=sanjuanis.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch4

I just thought of it and then added things as I went along. It's in the San Juan Islands, WA / North Shore Area.

it's acrylic on canvas. You have quite a knack for landscapes! I like the shadowing under the drop.

I like both the canyon one (with the really red rocks) and the ocean one a lot. Are they pastels? Watercolor? You definitely have a good use of color in your work.

Thanks a lot. They are all oil paint. I try to put a lot of color in my paintings and photo. The red rock is of an Ansel Adams photo. I did it from a postcard. It's above my bed in my room.
