Has anybody ridden the Halo SAS wheels? I'd like to hear some opinions. DH, FR, DJ perspectives all appreciated. Do they dent easily, do they stay true, how is the hub quality, etc? Do the rims build up nice if I want a custom build?

I have been running my Halo Sas Combats for over 2 years now. Tons of flat drop(on concrete) and landings, rock gardens, jumps everything I can throw at them..I just now have to replace my front rim due to a small flat spot(p.s I am still riding them with no problems). Also consider that I weigh 210 @ 6'2 and I am pretty damn hard on stuff.so thats gotta say something about em.I love these rims..Bit heavier then most...but who cares if they last and they are not that expensive..I had the wheels built with their hubs(diatech) and the front now has some play in it after the 2 years of hard abuse. I Just ordered another SAS Combat 36h and am replacing the hub with a Hadley this time around.I stand behind Halos product and will continue using them for a long time. The Only downfall is they are sometimes hard to get a hold of.Other then that you will get a sweet looking seet of rims that are pretty damn bomb proof. Hope this helps. Chris

Thanks guys, that's what I was hoping to hear. I was also wondering if the front wheel comes with the 20mm axle cones or if you have to buy them seperately.

If anybody has anything more to add, I'd love to hear it.

if you go to www.unrealcycles.com they sell halo as a wheelset or as just a rim in 32,36,48 hole count
the wheelset comes with a diatech hub that is 20mm or QR
FYI..right now on ebay unreal cycles has a complete,48 spoke, hand made/built halo sas wheelset for 279..can't beat that price

Thanks for the info. I work @ a shop part-time so I can get the wheels at cost, but our distributor doesn't specify if the 20mm adapter cones come with the wheels. I Haven't been able to find that info on the web either. Our distibutor is also out of stock on the Saint axle conversion, so if anybody knows where I can get one (stateside), hook me up.
