Stupid observations about the cycling media

I went to buy my monthly dose of cycling mags, and I noticed every road mag has pictures of either Ullrich or Basso on it. I couldn't force myself to buy any.

And I wanted to catch the recap of the OLN coverage, so I left my tv on. I can hear the BBQ cookoff challenge, and one guy started crying when he lost!!! Kept saying how he let everyone down...

Yeah, but the lead time on that stuff means that they'd already gone to press waaay before the whole thing.
What I found inexusable was Bicycling's site, talking about Jan and Basso as favorites, and this is two weeks into the race!

Good point. Bicycling had an article on Saul Rasin, when he was in that terrible crash about 4 weeks before I got the mag, and he was still in the hospital. no mention of it in the article.

Magazine lead times are usually about 2-3 months.
