hey i have a marzocchi z1 fr 1. ive noticed that lately my hands are sore and that the front end shakes a lot when im riding. the fork only has rebound adjust and eta. im pretty sure i just have it too stiff or my rebounds too fast but i figure id get a couple other opinions. also it doesnt use the last inch of the travel. probably just too stiff? thanks for any input.

Try loosening up your grip on the bars too.

Search the downhill forum for "arm pump" there should be plenty of reading there on the topic of sore hands.

It's a two phase program. Great results!!

Mon (power) Pamela Anderson/Tommy vid (3, 5minute reps)
Tues(Endurance) Rosie O'donell television show reruns (3, 30 min reps)
wed.(power) Carmen Electra's stripper workout tapes (3,5 min. reps)
Thurs.(Endurance) DVD paused on Star Jones' ass (just get it done)
Fri. (rest day) locked in a dark room all day.
Sat. Ride man!
Sun. Ride harder!

Oh, don't forget to switch up a fair bit. Gotta keep the calluses tough!

Good luck!!

i dunno about the dimaeter thing. I've always felt it has more to do with my riding position and weight distribution. My hands never hurt at xc-ing when I'm on the saddle more, only If i'm really pounding on them. so I try to just lean back more when I'm riding and keep my weight on the pedals as much as possible. Keeps pressure off the hands.

I've been trying to pedal this program all season at Whistler. It's kinda like the Richard Simmons "deal a meal" programs....;)

THE MAN IS A F'ING GENIUS!!
I've got forearms like Popeye now and I can ride Whistler mountain from open to close with extended play every day!
