what tool do you use to pull these cranks?

You need a crank puller, and you need whatever type is appropriate for your bottom bracket - either an ISIS crank puller or a square taper crank puller.

So since xtype/external bearing systems aren't ISIS would you use the square taper puller?

Nope, you have to use the self-extracting crank bolts that came with them. I don't think RaceFace makes a tool for it.

I thought these were suppose to come off relatively easy after i remove the cap/nut. I've been lightly tapping and bumpin this thing, any suggestions? Should i take a hammer to it, maybe a socket in the drive side to tap the crank out?

Screw the bolt back on, and replace the cap. Unscrew the bolt without removing the cap. That is how self-extracting bolts work.

Yeppers. The cap threads into the cranks, so unscrewing the fixing bolt pulls the cranks off.
