I need to see a body.
Any body or Ken Lay's body in particular?
Would you know if was not Ken Lay's body anyway?
It does seem too easy.

This isn't exactly Gil Grissom making an official statement. Who knows how he died at this point, or if he is really dead...
Lay died of a heart attack, his pastor in Houston said.
"Apparently, his heart simply gave out," said Pastor Steve Wende of Houston's First United Methodist Church. Lay, who lived in Houston, frequently vacationed in Colorado.

Why the hell was a guilty man vacationing in Colorado?

Guilty....and still wealthy!
Interesting concept....and maybe a more fitting punishment would have been to strip him of his wealth and assets and put him on the street. IMO that would be far worse than sending a rich guy to white collar prison.

i also hear he croaked while residing at his aspen home.
the fact that he still had that luxury at his disposal is a crime unto itself.

It was very tactfull of him to die right before going to jail, rather than right before robbing everyone blind...

Seconded...although I concur with the other point at least he won't fleece the taxpayers for paying his prison cost...

Yeah, I call BS on that one. My money's on him smoking Cubans in a secret underground Whitehouse bunker with Dubya.

I'd check to see what kind of life insurance policies he had and check flights to Rio. If I was his insurance company I'd want some very detailed proof (fingerprints, DNA, retina scans) before I paid out any $$

I think people would pass the hat around to ensure he spent his retirement in maxsec.

and get this, because he's "dead" he doesn't have to pay the plaintaffs anything...definitely way too convenient.

I wouldn't give one nickel more to that guy even to watch him rot. I would rather have seen him pay for his own prison time by digging ditches.

Rich people don't die. They go to moneyland. ... or Mexico.
