SRAM cassettes

I need a new cassette. Is it worth paying double the price for a SRAM 980 over a 970, speaking from a performance point of view? The 980 goes for $70 and the 970 goes for $35. I can't imagine the 980 being THAT much better.

I ride the 970's and never had a problem with them.

the 970's also come in a wider range of sizes. i have a 26-13 on my dh bike.

i have the 990 and the weight is the same as a 7 speed cassette. it depends if you are xc / climbing aloot and have to push the rotational mass around.
