I have one on my DHX- one of the old Progressive 5th ones, and it fits perfectly. I also helped set up an RCS on my friends DHX and that worked fine too (although we already had the bottom out adjuster removed). However, (I don't know what springs you guys can get in Ti- we get Manitous, Progressives and RCS) but the RCS ones suck a$$. They're a lot heavier than the other ones that are available.

I wouldn't run a ti spring on your bike though, if it were any lighter it wouldn't compress the scales...

I'm running an RCS ti spring on my DHX (no knobs removed). It is a light spring, though... 350lbs, so I don't know if that makes a huge difference with the outer diameter.

are you a fatass? how heavy of a spring were you looking for? heavy ti springs are pretty fat.

I have a 450 Ti spring on my DHX5.0. It came stock on an old progressive. There is plenty of clearance between the spring and the resi. My brother has a Ti RCS spring on his DHR and it's super thick. It would not fit on my DHX(it is however a heavier spring rate).

Should be fine... I've got a 500lbs. Manitou labeled Ti spring (I'm pretty sure those are from RCS too) and it fits fine, the only are its close is on the inside, not the reservoir.

Then when you go to sleep. I'm going to sneek in your house, take the bottlerocket, and run away.

I don't think it clears more than a 450. A 400 should be fine.

FYI, RCS makes all the ti coil springs in the bike market, and they are all pretty much the same dimmensionally. Ohlins is about to start making Ti springs for Cane Creek. The Ohlins springs should be lighter and cheaper than the Renton's. No idea when they're landing though....

SuspectDevice where do you get your info from about Ohlins making them for Canecreek?Yes they do make the Dbl barrel for Canecreek but the spring????

I have an RCS Ti Spring on my DHX 5.0. It seems to clear it just fine.... I think it is a 500 lb, and I'm not running the plastic spacer thingie...

If you squint really carefully at my avatar, you can see it!

His bike weighs 43 and a half pounds, when he doesn't hold up the front wheel...

Cane Creek makes the DB in house. My old racing buddy Paul Bell builds and meticulosly tests each and every one. The inside sales guy at CC was mentioning Spring sourcing when I purchased my shock...

i am running a 450 rcs ti spring on my dhx
and for all you nay-sayers:
my steel spring that came off weighs more than my whole shock with Ti spring.
