I've been pondering it, but it has a 100mm BB shell...that probably means no, doesn't it...

as far as I know, the shimano stuff (except saint) is only good for 68/73mm bb shells.

Race Face makes the Diabolus cranks in a 100mm BB version. They came stock on the '05 Giant DH bikes.

i think its funny how people mention saint and diabolus when he was asking about XT. kinda oposite ends of the weight spectrum there

Seems like people have just been answering the question about being able/not able to use XT and then making suggestions about what is available. Unfortuntely the parts available for that application are decidedly heavier because of their DH/freeride nature.

unless you buy the saint which also comes in an 83mm...

XT is only 68/73 i dont know what the shell is on a sgs but you can do saint on everything xt on some...

The saints are tiiiiiiiiiiiight, i would look into them, im a weight weenie and still feel that the bit of extra weight is worth it.

Xts blow anyways, you shouldn't feel too bad.

BB Shell is 100mm...you know, for the corresponding 165mm rear end :p

I really like my XTs on my XC bike, but I thought they'd look bitchin' on my DH bike, and I really dig the bearing life of external BB cranksets. Maybe I'll have to get the SKF ISIS BB and some nice FSA ISIS cranks someday...
