View Full Version : Luke Strobel representin' PNW at U.S. Open w/5th place podium finish!

Whats up, my cheeky little PNW monkeys..

Just saw the results on Transcend - http://www.transcendmagazine.com/archives/000601.html

Luke Strobel, riding for Turner frames, Fox Shox, Scott eyewear, Hadley Hubs, and The Downhill Zone bike shop, landed on the podium with a fifth place finish at the US Open today in New Jersey! Luke's been training heavily this season and all that work is starting to pay off. He told me that he was stoked for this race because the rough, rocky terrain in Jersey is similar to the conditions we face everyday here in Washington.

Last year, Luke's best finish was 10th place at the Nationals at Mammoth. This is his first podium as a pro dh racer. Congrats to Luke and all his sponsors. Keep it pinned!

Not bad for a state with no DH. That SST must be really paying off.... (ps, im kidding...)

the us open rocked. it was so fun...the course was rad but there were a ton of other cool trails on the mtn as well. it was good to mix it up. it rained a bit but in general it was super nice weather.

my race run was going well and then i got a front flat. bummer but oh well.

luke, jack and amelia killed it!!
