I thought I had play in my headset, it turned out to actually be in my front rim. I took the fork out and put everything back together before I had this figured out.

I'm not exactly sure what model CC headset I have, but it has sealed bearings. Each bearing has a bevel. I currently have it installed so that bevel on the upper bearing facing up and the bevel on the lower bearing is facing down.

Is this right or does the bevel on the lower bearing also face up?

does this make sense?

sweet, I love it when I don't have to take something apart again.

FYI - cane creek has good instructions online, as does FSA.
