Have you seen the inside of the back of a Matrix.
Its hard plastic and looks like a mini truck bed.
I mean small truck bed. The word Mini-truck
reminds me of a horrible, horrible time...... long, long ago.

Ha, Pigeon Forge used to have Mini-Truck week.
I bet the percentage of participants there that were also later on Jerry Springer would be downright staggering.

I've got one of those, Mazda was almost giving them away in '03 so it was my graduation present to myself. Three bikes up top and still hovering around 30mph. The stock tires suck and she's a bit of a turd in the snow, but all and all a good car. There isn't a lot of juice, but w/ a 5-speed it squirts along pretty well and is entertaining on a twisty road.

If only it was turbo and awd....but it would also be $8-10g's more.

i don't know man, did you see those pictures ?

that place is finally living up to it's potential.
w.rock didn't start off with a bang either. we've gone through a trial and error period, learning what works and what doesn't. before we got it right.

it looks to me like they've got it together too.

(b.t.w. you should have seen our old haw ridge trail. it was all about dirt jumpin.)

Please let me you didn't have a Minitruck? I have been seeing way to many of those things coming back in the Greer area of town.

i checked it out thurs. a lot of fun. the last double and the berm were awesome. i'm not sure about making the jumps tabletops though. that just invites people to kill the lips.

i think i may go out tomorrow too. probably work on the second straight while the dirt is good.

I hear ya. I think evntually we will pull out that dirt and make other jumps or at least make the lips much higher.

I enjoyed it. Either way I had fun, but I'm still learning too. I might have shyed away if they were straight-up, large-ish doubles. The little girl lines helped my confidence....hey, we all start somewhere. I'll be back, I've just gotta convince the back of my bike that kick outs arn't cool if you arn't prepared for them.

Thanks for building that stuff and giving me something to play on.

Scott, Justin and I worked out there for a few hours this morning and things are shaping up nicely.

How do I say this.....

Lips are an art and the most important aspect of the jump. We need to make sure that they are built right and strong. The lips on the first two jumps are already starting to crumble from whomever worked on them in the last few days.

We need to make sure that those that know how are building the lips right.

GED, I'd like to see you guys help me on finishing the XC loop. We only have a short section to bench and its done.

Yo Doug!!

You should make them into pump rollers!... its going to be hard to jump uphill? make them into jumps and if it doesn't work out them build them into rollers or make them into woop section!! sweet!!!

The first two may become rollers if we need the speed, but I don't know if you can tell form the pictures, but we dug that side down almost 4 feet with the bobcat to make it level, not uphill.
