Ok I'm going to be doing a charity road ride on my HT and I need a set of CHEAP slicks to run on my bike and my fiancee's FS bike.
A cyclocross type tire would be great too.

Here is the "fast city" which is what I use. (It's only $10 at my local performance)

Cool, I'm not looking for a full slick.
I like the one you've suggested.
It looks like Cambria has a bunch of "generic" slicks/city tires for sale for $8.

Don't use the Kenda Kwest. The sidewalls are not very durable. I have an old pair of Ritchey Tom Slicks that are my choice for pavement. Very light and excellent durability.

I believe these are the same tires that I have on my old hardtail, and they work fine for riding pavement.
