They were being jackasses all weekend on those things, finally the cops pulled them over. There were more cops there this weekend then at a fire sale at Krispy Kreme, so it was just a matter of time.

Yea, they have been known to ride those bikes up at Sandy's more then once. When confronted the reply was "Saw is cool with it." So I asked the Godfurher, and as it turns out they were their typically full of crap.

I saw the event take place of which you speak.

It was pretty funny actually, he got pulled over by a cop with sirens and such, and then arrested right in fron of our campsite.

Cam Zink and Strait are hard core kids, they keep it extreme, so I am sure they had their 50s all tricked out. Probably w/ high octane gas and illegal exhaust.

I don't hate them, I just have an intense dislike for anyone who thinks they're so kick ass that they can behave like dicks. Riding on hand crafted dirt jumps on a motorcycle when you've been told more then once not to is a dick move. Hence, I have no additional love for them as such.

Since when is a kid on a 50 harming anyone? I've never ridden one but I don't think they're that fast and it's no more dangerous than a reckess bike rider (of which there were plenty). So "damn cops" for harassing/arresting kids having fun. Cops hate fun.

And Sandy's is a jump spot around Reno (I think).

Its Leguna Seca, they enforce the law there pretty hard. Its a big motorcycle spot, and as such they cannot let people act like jackasses.

Further, there are signs all over that say in big black bold letters "The California Helmet Law Will Be Enforced." They were up on the road by the main gate, buzzing around on them. Some soccer mommy got her thong in a twist and told the cops would be my guess.

Then again, reading my contract with various sponsors, one of the things that is said over and over is that you should do your best to promote the image of cycling. At major family day weekend sort of things, that includes wearing a helmet I would think.

None the less, its just a slap on the wrist unless they got saucy with the cops. I just thought it was funny.

Usually at Laguna Seca you can sort of get away with cruising around on stuff like 50s or go-peds and stuff like that, after all it is a race track and where the term "pit bike" came from in the first place. That being said, if you're causing some major problems for the rest of the fans, you'd probably get busted. That and if your 50 is correctly modified (like most are these days) you could probably easily hit 50 or 60 mph on the roads aorund laguna seca, which I bet the cops didn't like.

Then again, if their 50s are so badass, how did the cops catch em in the first place? :rolleyes:

No, but they also don't get the massive paychecks that most football players do. Many football players make millions and they get fined like 10 grand. It doesn't mean anything when you're making that much money.

I'm not sure how much Zink and Strait make, but I'm pretty sure that its not in the millions... Still, I wonder what happened to them and how their sponsors are handling it.

The laws are designed to protect people and property. Period. Your interpretation whether they are fun-killers or not is just that, an interpretation.

What you can do personally vs. what governments can do is such a complicated debate I won't even touch it.

Finally, 50's can be very obnoxious, particularily riding in a crowd. While most people would not complain to the authorities, they would also prefer that people didn't ride them around them. And the last thing anyone wants to see is a collison with a 50, which is why people discourage riding one outside the pits.

Holland is not like the US. You still have a lot of nature left and a lot of places where you can ride a dirtbike around, here we have nothing.
The only place where I can ride a dirtbike is at a track where I have to pay big bucks to ride.

Ok Ok Lets all get something straight here ......

Cam And Kyle got busted for riding 50's on BLM land when everyone was asked not to bring or use "pit bikes"

At no point and time has Cam or Kyle ridden their 50's on my Dirt Jumps they both know how much time I have put into that place.Plus they know what will happen if thety did and got caught.

Cam got arrested for something that no one knows about or needs to know about he has court tomorrow (friday) so he can get everything straightened up.

Kyle got removed from the event and was told not to return until next year (which he looslely followed) He did not get any money back or anything. He was pretty bummed to say the least.

Cam was allowed to return to the event because the officals felt that him being arrested was enough of a penalty.He was allowed to race the events that he signed up for.

I agree they should not have been breaking the rules but they did they did not hurt anyone just got in some trouble.

Please do not talk **** about my friends

By the way Cam is 19 years old and Kyle is 18 get the facts straight.

Both Specialized and Haro asked them not to do it again

no matter how much bufoonery goes on with those two none of us can ride like them so no one has the right to say anything about them.

Kyle's dad had a good talking to him also since he was at the event.

There are far worse things going on at Sea Otter than people riding 50's they can't even get a race off on time (the officals) so they need to worry about that more than some kids having fun.

Again I ask people not to talk **** if you have a problem with Cam or Kyle please address them to their face...

There is a difference between lining up like slack eyed circus seals to make like an asian Bukkake star with the cops and obeying rules that have some merit.

There were a butt ton of little kids, cars, people who have no rightly business on bikes, and women with strolers roving around the otter. Now I get that its fun when you're 19 to buzz around, cause havoc, etc. However, while they do not have the speed of their bigger brothers, the mass plus the miniscule speeds can cause someone to get splattered worse than the cat I ran down tonight.

They got busted, they got slapped on the wrist. It could have been a lot worse.

However, there is a line between questioning law and being a jackass. Their riding of their wee bikes was not some sort of social upheaval, nor was it a fight against authority or an unjust law. It was just being dumb, and they got caught.

If y'all want to turn this into a diatribe on the philosophy of law and society, take it somewhere else.

The BLM is actually alright in Nevada. Note I didn't say great, or even competent, but just alright. The main issue with 50's, and dirt bikes in general, is that they have too much power for the lips built of that desert dirt. Tend to tear things up, and then they don't repair.

What's even more inspiring about Saw is that I have been there several times with him when the local inbred contingent has shown up on their bikes wanting to ride Sandys. He has been such a good ambasidor that he offered more then once to build them their own area if they would provide the bobcat for him to do it, free of charge. None the less certain dildos just have to ride Sandys too on their motos, and as such I have issues with those that would.
