i hate to sound noobish but does anyone know how the little brake cable loop stays in this side of the u-brake ? i see where it goes in but how does it stay there.. am i missing something? all i have left to do is that and grinding out my front peg to fit the pitchfork.

Nice frame. Sorry, I don't really get your question either, normally the spring tension in the brake keeps the cable tight and the ferrule in the slot? Is that what you're asking?

Oh, NVM I see what you're asking. You either need to make a ghetto cable holder on the backside of that hole in the pic or buy a brass insert that has a screw in the side that you can tighten down the cable w/ to hold it in place.
