build for $3100

alright my dad's bike is on its way, but we are having problems with getting the parts we want. so what are your suggestions for a xc race like build.

this is going on a Maverick ML7, this will be used as an xc racer.

I was actually thinking $2700 B/C of the crossmax wheel set.

SRAM X0 and Reba are my two suggestions.

Cranks? Maybe Race Face?

I think you can probably build a lighter wheelset besides the Crossmaxes for about the same coin.

yeah but are they going to be as reliable, I'm looking for a bike that you can build up and trust it for sometime without constant repair.
