View Full Version : Max stack height do-able with '06 Boxxer flat crown?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to figure out which top crown I need with my new Boxxers. It's going on a large DHR with a total headtube length (including headset) 0f 165mm. I'd like to run the flat crown if possible but I don't know if it'll allow for enough tyre clearance at the bottom. I'm sure someone can shed some light!

max 150mm according to their service manual.

You will most likely need the medium crown.

My headtube (medium VPX) is 130mm and with a CC zero stack HS the total stack height is 145mm. I have about 5mm of adjustment so the recommended max stack height is accurate. You will need to run a drop crown.

Does such a thing exist? I thought it was just the "drop" or "flat" versions. Although looking at pics of the "flat" it appears to have around an inch worth of drop anyway.

Guess I'll go with the drop version then. Cheers all.
