Anyone got a pic of that configuration? Thanks in advanced...

You mean a stock 888 steerer on a bike with a 1.5 headtube ?

Pretty common.

Risse also makes a 1.5 steer "upgrade" if you feel the urge.

Not much. I think 8" is the total length but you can see that I didn't use all of it. I left it long in case I wanted to get rid of the zero stack headset or sell it but I've had no reason to do either.

yeah. I love the Slider, but I need something that has more beef to it. Plusm I have the where-with-all to get an 888...

how much steerer you need depends on how you reduce. You can either use a headset that reduces from 1.5, like the cane creek or you can use reducer cups. I just FSA reducer cups, I prefer doing it like that because its one more reinforcement to prevent ovalized headtubes, and its easier to remove normal headsets from reducer cups than a 1.5 headset, also now I can use whatever headset I want instead of just the cane creeks. The only problem with doing it like this is you end up with a much taller stack height.

You can also get a Risse 1.5 lowering crown and use a 1.5 headset and 68 the reducers.
