hey, who knows anything about the rocky mountain switch 1 ? I have been looking for a new bike and this one seems really nice. I heard the older versions had some problems with the bearings in the linkage. Any info at all would be nice

newer ones are definately better, longer stroke shocks, the first ones used a 1.5in stroke shock and smaller linkages, newer ones are bigger.

I had a 2002 Switch for a little while. It was too small though so I got rid of it. Nice frame and build, but they're over-priced, heavy, and those shock strokes are still too short. Those are my thoughts on it.

Don't know anything about any problems as I never researched them...but...I rode one for three days in Whistler last August. Damn nice bike! For 7" it felt like a lot more. Granted a lot has to do with individual set-up, and all, but I felt the frame performed very well. I never noticed it being overly heavy. Fast on wide-open stuff, but still agile in tight, slow, technical stuff like No Joke.

I passed on riding an RMX as I felt it was perhaps too DH oriented, and I don't regret it. The Switch was incredible.
