I guy I work with who grew up on a farm with free range beef says there is a definite flavor difference. Well where can I get grass fed beef? Are those Omaha Steaks grass fed?

Buy a cow, feed it some grass and get back to us in a few years.:)

Grass contains nutrients that grain does not have, it makes for a healthier cow.

Healthy cow = tastier flesh = tri-tip on my grill = happy H8R.

Cows eat grass in the natural course of events so I'd have to say grass-fed is better. Australian beef is mostly grass fed and to my mind is tastier than the American beef I've tried but is not as tender.

Never tried grain feed....Not much point in doing that in NZ as grass growth rates here are insane, and grain is very expensive in comparison.

I had locally grown, grass fed beef in Ireland. Best steak ever.

My family are ranchers, I'm 5th gen, our place is in N.E. Okla....we raise Angus, American Bison, and Limosin...all grass fed...grass fed has fats that are better for you, as well as tastes better.

I would suggest Colemans' beef, they sell it at Whole Foods and Wild Oats here...check your local grocer or specialized meat shop.

personally i prefer the meat that i eat to partake in canabalism... chickens eat dead chickens, cows eat mashed up cows etc ... that and a steady diet of faeces...

yum...
